On a wing and a prayer
 by Jude Kessler, Beatles Author
A couple of weeks ago, I was in Chicago at the Fest for Beatle Fans, madly selling my new Lennon book when "out of the blue", a lovely lady named Sherry stepped up to my table and widened my world view forever. With a quiet and sincere honesty, she whispered to me that she communicated frequently with John.

Thank you so much for this story. But I don't think John was ever too far away from God. Posted by josette from cookeville, tennessee on November 27, 2008 4:33 PM
even Jesus questioned faith. One of my favourite prayers is this..."half of what I say is meaning less, but I say it just to reach you Julia" Posted by Pjd from earth on November 28, 2008 01:28 AM
This morining I went to my car and a white feather was stuck in the front of it. I took it out and saying to my girlfriend 'see, there's an angel here willing to give me a sign'. Two hours later I found this new website and read your story. It doesn't longer amaze me but gives me a warm and trustfull feeling to know there is love underneed it all. As for the Beatles, I see them as the four elements (John - fire, Paul - water, George - air and Ringo -earth), the fifth element is the love that's the grail that makes it all work. And to speak of John as a saint, in essence we're all saints, we just have to go home.... Posted by Bert van Rijnberk from Hilversum, Nederland on November 28, 2008 02:02 AM
BRAVO
Whether it be white feathers, or your own words spoken in a prayer, then repeated back to you days later from a strainger.....God will talk to you.
This story made me cry and rejoice. Thank you for sharing it Jude. Posted by Lesa from Arkansas on December 1, 2008 07:33 AM
another Lennon prayer... "say the word and you'll be free. Say the word and be like me. Say the word I'm thinking of, and the only word is love. It's so fine, sunshine. It's the word love" Posted by PJD from Earth on December 9, 2008 04:41 AM

I'm personally convinced that there's an afterlife, but that all the major established religions have most of it all wrong. It's probably actually stranger and yet different than from what they've led so many to believe. If 'there is no such thing as" then, why would it have been such a long-raging human question, if not that there were some sort of truth behind it? What if we are eternal forms, that return more or less in similar situation (a dog is always a dog, a human always a human, none of this "you come back as a fly if you are bad" kind of thing- & the choice to come back at all is left open, depending to one's degree of spiritual sophistication. Unfortunately too many of the world's spiritual/religious leaders are too blinded by dogma to accept a reality, all inclusive, and a place from which we all go/return. Call it God, Call it the Omega Point or Noosphere (as by Tielhard de Chardin) Or "God", it's because soul/mind IS separate from body that causes concepts such as "eternal" to come into discussion. I doubt John was ever truly an "atheist" per se, more, he was concerned with seeking after Truth, however he could find it. I have just returned from shopping with my wife, and as we got to the veranda there where white feathers on the floor. We discussed the feathers and then came inside. I then got on to this web site and read with interest your story. I am not quite sure what is out there but I am a great Beatle and John Lennon fan and it made me feel reasured about the good in life and the hereafter. I just recently turned 60 and made a pilgramidge to Liverpool and stayed at the Hard Days Night Hotel and gave it ***** Posted by Scoe from Melbourne , Australia on April 23, 2009 10:43 PM
enjoyed your story thanks for sharing, when John left us I felt such a void. I prayed for Yoko,Sean and Julian.I never thought to pray for John because I felt he was safe with God. So glad to hear someone else did pray for him after his death. I am a Christian Catholic, I believe God speaks to us in many ways.I know Moses had a burning bush so why can't we have a feather or a dream. LOVE is the universal thought, belief and speech nothing else really matters. Love you John looking forward to seeing you on the other side.
